"Grandpa Jack – Integrative Therapeutic Center" is a non-profit organization that runs a therapy-farm at "Ein Yael", on the outskirts of Jerusalem. The farm offers services such as therapeutic horseback riding, a horseback-riding school, animal-assisted therapy, couple and family therapy and parents-counseling. The farm also has a unique youth program for young adults that has dropped out of educational or therapeutic frameworks or for youth that is at risk for dropping out. In addition to the above the farm offers schools in Jerusalem a bagrut (matriculation) program in horses.

The farm offers therapy to children and youth who cope with physical, behavioral or emotional difficulties such as: ADD/ADHD, autism, PDD, CP, head injuries, Down syndrome, blindness, deafness, retardation, mental illnesses, anxieties, social problems and many other problems. Horseback-riding therapy or animal-assisted therapy can be helpful in dealing with these kinds of difficulties.

Our organization is unique in that we emphasize giving subsidized therapy to disadvantaged populations from institutions and low-income families. Without our organization these populations would not be able to benefit from these kinds of therapy.

Every week hundreds of clients and riders come to the farm: children, youth and adults. Some of them come privately and some come throught the special-education system and from therapeutic institutions in Jerusalem and the Jerusalem area.

The farm staff is multi-professional and is made up of paid workers, National Service workers and tens of volunteers. In addition to the staff that works directly with clients, the farm is accompanied on a regular basis by physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers and therapists who specialize in couple and family therapy.

You are welcome to receive information about our activities from our website. Please feel free to contact us for additional information and to arrange a meeting or a visit to the farm.
